It gives me great pleasure to affirm once again the support of the Ministry of Defence Malaysia for the Electronic Warfare 2004 Conference and Exhibition to be held at the Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur.In this day where there seems to be great concern over the threat of terrorism worldwide, innovative applications of electronic warfare combined with dramatic changes in military doctrine and operational as well as organisational concepts have ultimately changed the character and conduct of military operations. Thus, niche exhibitions and conferences such as the Electronic Warfare 2004, which addresses issues such as the exploitation of electromagnetic spectrum to enhance performances of sensors, weapons and control systems, will undoubtedly act as a viable platform for discussions to highlight the latest technological advancements in one of the most strategic areas in the defence industry.
