GEPC ASIA 2009 Show Objectives:

• To enhance the regional security enforcement agencies with the latest technology available.
• To assemble regional police and security forces in an area to further enhance regional and global co-operation.
• The strengthening of security to counter and prevent terrorism, crime and homeland threats.
• To serve as a platform in creating better awareness of the latest developments in the security and police equipment offerings from the global industry.
• To establish and promote Malaysia as the hub for security equipment procurement, regional manufacture and related academic studies in the Asia-Pacific region.
• To provide local manufacturers opportunities and exposure on the possibility of indigenous manufacture of police, emergency and safety services equipment.

Malaysia which has long been a favourite international destination for business and tourist travellers, is best known as one of the most vibrant countries in Southeast Asia with its interesting fusion of three cultures - Malay, Chinese, Indian - a geo-cultural mix made even more interesting with the assimilation of other cultures into the Malaysian society - including the indigenous cultures of the Kadazans, Ibans and other ethnic groups of Sabah and Sarawak, as well as the influence of the British, Portuguese, Dutch and Thai cultural heritage. English is widely spoken in business and everyday life.
